 |  The part-time 504 Coordinator provides a variety of services for students who do not meet special education requirements, but still require assistance in the school setting. The Wallowa ESD’s 504 Coordinator assists schools in identifying students eligible for 504 services. This also includes leading meetings with school staff and parents to determine how best to meet the needs of the students. The 504 Coordinator monitors the student throughout the year, making sure the plan is being carried out as needed. Students who may qualify for a 504 plan must have a handicapping condition that substantially limits one of life’s major activities such as: walking, seeing, hearing, speaking, breathing, learning, working, caring for one’s self and for performing manual tasks. |
